Bon Jovi just concluded their smashing ten-day tour on November 10, 2007 in their home state of New Jersey.
The tour started their kick-off for their tenth studio album release titled Lost Highway, which was released on June 19, 2007 on Mercury Records.
The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jon Bon Jovi, lead guitarist and background vocalist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan and drummer and percussionist Tico Torres.
I listened to Lost Highway in its entirety and I really enjoyed the album.
Lost Highway commences with the song Lost Highway and concludes with the song I Love This Town. The songs in between like (You Want To) Make A Memory, Whole Lot Of Leavin’, Any Other Day, Seat Next To You, Everybody’s Broken and Till We Ain’t Strangers Anymore continue to make you want to be lost on that highway and never looking back as you listen to more and more of the Lost Highway.
As you listen to songs like Lost Highway, Seat Next To You, Till We Ain’t Strangers Anymore, One Step Closer and I Love This Town, you can hear the influence that Nashville has made on Bon Jovi’s new album Lost Highway. Not only was Nashville influential in Bon Jovi’s new album but also Bon Jovi is probably the only rock band that can incorporate a country influence in their sound and still be successful.
Just look at the success of Who Says You Can’t Go Home from the album Have A Nice Day. Not only did Jon Bon Jovi sing a duet with Jennifer Nettles on Who Says You Can’t Go Home but also he sang another duet with LeAnn Rimes Till We Ain’t Strangers Anymore, which could be just as popular as Who Says You Can’t Go Home.
If you are so out of touch with modern music and are unfamiliar with Bon Jovi, I would encourage you to visit www.bonjovi.com and watch their videos. If it turns out that you enjoyed watching their videos like Lost Highway and (You Want To) Make A Memory at their website, make sure you purchase their albums at iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody or any store that sells their music.
If you are a fairly newer or older Bon Jovi fan, I would encourage you to listen to several of these undiscovered or rarely played songs.
The undiscovered or rarely played songs are Nobody’s Hero from the album 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong, Bells Of Freedom and These Open Arms from the album Have A Nice Day [Extra Tracks] and Stick To Your Guns from the album New Jersey. In fact, Bon Jovi played Bells Of Freedom after their encore on November 4, 2007. Hopefully, everyone who watched Bon Jovi’s performance enjoyed that song.
I know what some of you are thinking, These Open Arms is not listed on the album of Have A Nice Day that you purchased. You are correct! These Open Arms is on the Japanese import album of Have A Nice Day [Extra Tracks]. If you can afford about thirty-four dollars it is available at www.tower.com or for forty-nine dollars at www.amazon.com. Believe me it is well worth every penny, especially if you are a fairly newer or older Bon Jovi fan.
These Open Arms is an awesome song and I would not be surprised if it became as popular as some of Bon Jovi’s smashing hits like (You Want To) Make A Memory, All About Lovin’ You from the album Bounce, It’s My Life and Thank You For Loving Me from the album Crush, I’ll Be There For You from the album New Jersey, Livin’ On A Prayer from the album Slippery When Wet and Runaway from the album Bon Jovi. Yes, the song is that good! Also, I could fill up pages and pages about which Bon Jovi albums or singles that you should purchase that either contain acoustic, live or undiscovered songs, however I will save that information for another time.
If you cannot afford to spend about thirty-four or forty-nine dollars, do not worry! I am sure it will appear sometime in the future on a Bon Jovi album.
If you are lost for holiday ideas, Lost Highway and Have A Nice Day [Extra Tracks] would be an awesome holiday gift for a friend or loved one who really enjoys listening to Bon Jovi’s music.
Not only should you purchase the albums Lost Highway and Have A Nice Day [Extra Tracks] but make sure you purchase the DVD titled Lost Highway: The Concert (2007). Lost Highway: The Concert (2007) contains live performances from their new album and also contains several of their earlier smashing hit songs. The DVD will be released on November 13, 2007 at a store near you.
Finally, if you are lost for holiday ideas or just want to hear some really good music by Bon Jovi, I encourage you to purchase Lost Highway, Have A Nice Day [Extra Tracks] or any other Bon Jovi albums at either iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody or any store that sells their music.
In fact, if you visit iTunes, you can purchase a majority of Bon Jovi videos like (You Want To) Make A Memory, Lost Highway, All About Lovin’ You, Runaway, etc. Believe me they are just as entertaining as the music itself.
