I listened to the album in its entirety and I really enjoyed all of the songs on the album.
Chris Carrabba and Dashboard Confessional reverted back to their original acoustic sound from their previous albums like The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most and Swiss Army Romance. Those two earlier albums placed Dashboard Confessional on the map and made them a household name.
The Shade of Poison Trees commences with Where There’s Gold… and concludes with The Widow’s Peak. The songs in between like Thick As Thieves, These Bones, The Shade Of Poison Trees, I Light My Own Fires Now and Clean Breaks continue to poison your mind in such a good way that is has you listening to more and more of The Shade of Poison Trees.
If you really enjoyed Dashboard Confessional’s prior albums The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most and Swiss Army Romance then you will definitely enjoy listening to The Shade Of Poison Trees. Like I remarked earlier, The Shade of Poison Trees brings the original acoustic sound that placed Dashboard Confessional on the map as a household name.
Again if you enjoyed their earlier sound make sure you purchase their album at iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody or any store that sells their music when it is released on October 2, 2007.
