Are you looking for some heroes? Look no further than the Five O’ Clock Heroes.
They will be releasing their U.S. debut album Bend To The Breaks on September 18, 2007 on Glaze Records.
The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Antony Ellis, lead guitarist Elliot Thompson, bassist Nader Khierbek and drummer Sam Embery.
The album begins to bend with their catchy opening tune Head Games from their U.S. debut album Bend To The Breaks.
About midway through their album it begins to show signs of a breakage on Good Lovers and continues toward breakage on their fast paced hit Corporate Boys from their U.S. debut album Bend To The Breaks. The album finally bends so much on Give It Up on their U.S. debut album Bend To The Breaks that the breakage is so severe that it breaks in half. So, what does this all mean?
This means that the Five O’ Clock Heroes could be the next break out band in the U.S. with their debut album release Bend To The Breaks. Their entire debut album is loaded with uplifting tempos. If I was asked who do I think the Five O’ Clock Heroes resemble, I would have to say the Kaiser Chiefs.
Some of my favorite songs on their debut album Bend To The Breaks are Head Games, Run To Her, Time on My Hands, Good Lovers, Corporate Boys and Give It Up.
If you are interested in uplifting tempos or the next break out band or a band that has a resemblance to the Kaiser Chiefs then Bend To The Breaks is the album for you. If you own an iPod and are interested in acoustic music, there is an acoustic version of Run To Her on the single album of Time On My Hands – EP that is good as the fast tempo version.
