Foreign Born will be releasing their debut album On The Wing Now by Dim Mak Records on August 21, 2007.
The band consists of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Matt Popieluch, lead guitarist Lewis Pesacov, bassist Ariel Rechtshaid and drummer Garrett Ray.
Their sound has been compared to the likes of Jesus & Mary Chain, Velvet Underground and Stone Roses.
However, after listening to their album I believe their sound is also similar to that of The Rolling Stones.
If you disagree, listen to Into Your Dream and you will notice right away the similarity in sound with (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction from The Rolling Stones. So, one must wonder how much of an inspiration do The Stones have on Foreign Born?
After you listen to Into Your Dreams head on back to Union Hall and you might just find yourself clapping and singing along with the song.
If you want to listen to a couple of softer or chilled out songs from their album then listen to Letter of Inclusion and the semi-acoustic song Holy Splinter.
Have you every gotten into a disagreement with your significant other? If so, did they say, “you’re never right?” Then you probably can relate to the song Never Wrong. Of course, if you are never wrong then you probably can really relate to the song.
Finally, if you are looking to have a little excitement or maybe you want to chill out or maybe you want to hear a sound similar to The Rolling Stones then this album is for you. Not only are the songs listed above really enjoyable but also the entire album is really good. So, make sure you purchase Foreign Born’s debut album when it hits the stores on August 21, 2007.
