The Red Romance released their self-titled debut EP The Red Romance on May 10, 2007.
The band consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew Dublin, lead guitarist Herschel Gaer, bassist Adam Chilenski and drummer Darren Beckett.
The Red Romance are an indie band similar to Simple Minds, Modern English and OMD but fortunately for them they will not be remembered as one hit wonders. Even though there is an 80’s influence on the EP, it is more of a modern 80’s influential sound.
From the opening song of One Shot to the middle of the album with Just One Kiss to the finale of You’re So Cold the entire EP album is very up-tempo with a romantic influence. They have toured and opened for The Killers on several occasions.
Although, they have toured with The Killers and their name is becoming more mainstream they are still without a record label. My question is where is The Red Romance’s record deal with such a modern Indie 80’s feel?
It is very unfortunate when you listen to a talented musician or band and they are not signed to a record deal but an untalented musician is signed to a label. So, how can this problem be corrected?
The solution is to visit The Red Romance’s website at www.theredromance.com or their MySpace page listed below and listen to their music. If you enjoyed listening to their music online than purchase their EP at iTunes or at www.theredromancestore.com.
Finally, if you are looking for a modern Indie 80’s sound, then The Red Romance is definitely something you should enjoy. Make sure you purchase their EP and spread The Red Romance around to your family, friends and co-workers. Who knows maybe once the red is spread they will get that record label? Below is the song list of their EP album The Red Romance.
